Taxes
Now I'm not taxed myself becuase I'm still a student and so I am a bit nieve in this area. But wouldn't it be alot easier if the Government taxed a percentage rather then whatever they do now so no one would moan so much about taxing. I know it's a horrible thing to have to go through. But with a certain percentage of the home earners wage, rather then a particualr price, everyone would be eqaul. And the rich wouldn't be getting richer, they'd be on an euqaul playing field thatn everything else. If anything the rich should have to pay more then everyone else.

Current tax systems are pretty fair i think. if you earn over 40k you pay a bigger % of tax on any earnings made over the 40k mark.
I think any earnings over 100k are taxed at 90%!
Below that every taxpayer is taxed an equal percentage on their earnings.
I think this is a fair taxing system. However this could be a bit unfair for people who earn more as their hard earnings are taxed more.
As you said only other way to make taxes fair would be to have a flat rate paid by everyone on all earnings. But the government makes alot of money on taxes on earnings above the 40k mark and 100k mark so the flat rate would have to increase to cover the loss of income from not taxing big income earners more. This would mean poor people would have more taxes and would make it harder to live.
So although the current taxing system is unfair for the richer people, who see more of their earnings going to the taxman they can probably afford higher taxes than poorer people can. nnet. this is dave clayt by the way. xxx
