The Executive

I believe that the Bristish Cabinet system should be selected simular to the American system. I.e. The members of the cabinet are selected as profesionals in the particular field, rather than any old party member. Except the American system elects cabinet members who don't even need to be members of a party. I think that the candidates still have to be voted members of parliament, but the prime minister shouldn't be restricted to his/her own party. This is becuase I believe that our form of government (being that the executive, legislature and judiciary are all linked, rather than seperate enterties, as they are in the American system) works best to work with and scrutinise government.
